Covid 19

Additional Terms and Conditions due to Covid 19

Due to Covid 19 there are a few changes we need to make to our procedures to ensure your safety, our safety and the safety of our vulnerable island community. Please rest assured that the Good to Go Scheme we are part of is a guarantee that we have completed risk assessments and are following all the protocols as recommended by the Scottish Government and we request that our guests also follow the guidelines to ensure a happy and healthy stay.
  • Please bring all your own bed linen and duvet covers (1 x king bed, 1 x double bed, 2 x single beds for the Wing, 1 x double bed for the Cabin), towels, bath-mat and tea towels. There are 4 pillows per double and 2 per single.
  • We will provide duvets and pillows, clean mattress and pillow protectors for each booking and will set aside all duvets and pillows for  a minimum of 72 hours post their last use (72 hours it how long the virus can last on textiles).
  • We will provide you with masks for adults, hand sanitiser and cleaning materials.
  • Please bring all the food you will need for the duration of your stay. Social distancing rules have meant that our small food shops are only able to take a few people in the shops at any one time which has led to a waiting time to get in to the shop and we don't want to put any extra pressure on the shops. Obviously if you need something urgently then you should visit the shops but for essentials only where possible. Please come to us first for anything you need. We have a well stocked pantry and freezer and have frozen ready meals made by a local chef in the freezer should you run out of meals. Hopefully in time the social distancing measures will be reduced which will make shopping easier.
  • Please wear masks in the shops.
  • Please clean the property with the provided cleaning materials on your departure so we can safely then go in and do a proper clean. Please bin all your rubbish in the provided bins outside.
  • When we clean the property, we will do a thorough clean including steam cleaning where possible, followed by disinfecting all surfaces, floors, and common touch points such as door handles etc with a virucidal solution.
  • We have removed most of the cushions, ornaments,  books, games and leaflets/folders (all the info you will need about the island can be found at www.visitmullandiona.co.uk) from the property for ease of cleaning so it may look a bit spartan but it will be clean! I have created a Welcome Pack with lots of info for you which you can download to your device or print out.
  • Please observe the current government advice re social distancing. There are lots of wonderful wild spaces you can spend your time in on Mull, social distancing at its best!
  • Please carry hand sanitizer and use it frequently.
  • Please put all your plates, cutlery, glasses and mugs in the dishwasher on departure and switch on. On arrival you will find the dishwasher full and clean. For Cabin guests please wash all your crockery etc and dry and put away with gloves on.
  • Please avoid taking unnecessary risks that may require emergency services should something go wrong.
  • Please note we are offering 100% refunds on bookings that have to be cancelled due to Covid 19.
  • Please cancel your trip should you or any of your group be showing any symptoms of Covid 19. We are happy to refund your money rather than risk anyone bringing the virus to the island. We only have 3 beds in our hospital here which are usually occupied at the best of times. The nearest hospitals with ventilation facilities is Glasgow.
  • Please inform us immediately if you or any of your party show symptoms of Covid 19 whilst you are here.
  • Please be aware the Oban-Craignure ferry may be on a  reduced service due to social distancing rules laid out by the government for public transport. The Lochaline-Fishnish ferry is your best bet if you are coming from the North or the East as you are able to stay in your car on this ferry.
If these guidelines are adhered to then we are more than happy to welcome guests to Achnadrish so you can enjoy the multitudes of benefits this Island can offer.
